My buddy bought a new sled and wants to try for sturgeon this weekend. However, we don't know where to launch or fish. If anyone is willing to help us it would be appreciated! Thanks

There is a boat launch directly under I-5 on Ebey slough. Take the Marysville exit, go right and right again towards the slough. You will see it. The tides this weekend are going to be good for sturgies. here is link for the tides. http://www.dairiki.org/tides/monthly.php/ert You want to concentrate on the low. It tends to bring the fish into the deeper holes. Use sand shrimp. When you go over the slough, look to your west, and you will see all of the boats. Go there.

There is another hole west of the train bridge on steamboat.
Use lots smelly jelly on your sand shrimp.
If you take the Marrysville exit, and take a right on State street, there is a Texaco about 5 blocks down on the left. They sale jumbo sand shrimp.

A prop is fine. Just be careful of bars and logs at low tide.

Thanks for your advice. We fished all day for three strikes. Connected with one fish only-38" (released). It is a neat area though and we will go back for sure. :p
