What was Mike Price thinking??? I have a good idea what he was thinking with... Fired, and no $$$$ because he never signed a contract. How stupid is that? I'm a die hard Coug fan and was sorry to see him go, but I wouldn't want him back now.... He'll latch on somewhere before next season though.

It would be nice if teams also held their players to the same standards.

Thats what I'm thinking too... why the hell wouldn't he have a signed contract before he left WSU?? Not much business sense there. If he has a signed contract, he gets a second chance. It is funny how coaches are held to a higher standard than players, or politicians for that matter. Go figure

From what I remember from years past, it always takes a long time to work out the details in a contract. It is not out of the ordinary to take up to 6 months to get a deal done. That being said he Couged it.

Mike should be fired and then he should go to an eye doctor. Did you see a picture of Destiny? Woof, woof! Memo to all men: If you're going to risk your marriage, career, and reputation with a stripper/hooker, then use cash and go to her place. An open room account while he's golfing? No wonder the Cougs ran on third and 7 near the end of the first half in the Rose Bowl....no brains.

from someone in the buisness of sport I think you should know that it is not unusual for coaches to go without signing a contract for many months after the hiring has been announced. These multimillion dollar contracts can take a while to work out the details. I will tell you that Price was being paid by Alabama and has been since december, he will get some kind of pay off from the University, and the biggest plus in his corner may be the fact he has not signed a contract. It is questionable if you can enforce a morals clause in an unsigned contract. He may argue the reason he did not sign the deal was because he was worried he could not uphold the morals clause ( awful hard to stay out of the strip joint with all that green in your pocket). It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I feel for his staff and thier families who bought houses and moved to Alabama for what looked like the some of the great jobs in coaching and now are standing there in limbo wondering if Mike's "moments of indescretion" will leave them unemployed, along way from freinds and family and thier careers tainted by no action of their own.

I don't know about the Alabama players, but the Weasel should be talking to the frat boys that held Rich Alexis to no gain on the front porch.
