Well to start off the morning we were headed to the Cowlitz. We just got passed Olympia and my friend Bob's amp
gauge started to drop fast.By the time we got to the turn
off(SPIFFY'S AND AMPM)his truck was dieing!!Well I pulled out my AAA plus card and made the call for a tow truck. It had been a while since I have been on the water and I was bummed out thinking I wasted a day of my vacation. The tow truck came we got the truck on the back of the tow truck
and started to change the ball to a 2inch ball for the boat trailer. Then this guy walks up to us and says do you guys want to go fishing still and I said hell yes.Bob and I new this person from so many trips to the Cowlitz and the Meat Hole in the passed and he new us also. But he didnt know our names. He said he would go to his house and get a truck with a ball and be right back!!About 15 minutes later he pulls up with the truck we put the trailer on the ball and off we go to Mission Bar we gave him 25 bucks for all his trouble,he said he would meet us at the take out at 2:00pm but if he couldn't make it the truck would be there!!Well the fishing started off real slow for us with a jack then we moved to another hole and bam 18lb's of spring king on the other end of the line!!So we bait back up to run the hole again and bam 11lb springer!! We fished till 1:30pm and headed for Mission Bar to take the Boat out.The truck was left and the keys were in the location that he told us they would be.We hop in the truck and notice a note.Bob and
John Im sorry but I can't keep this money just pass out some of these card or refer me some customers!!So I just wanted to say to Craig Johnson of Johnsons Fishing Adventures you are GREAT Guy to help us out in our time of need.So if anyone wants to book a trip Call Craig he is a great guy and a very good guide!! beer

Charr-

I am right there with you, I try to be like that to some people, and they just shun you. One time I hooked my 3rd steelhead, and I realized that one kid next to me had not even got a bump, so I gave him my pole to let him fight it and keep the fish. I just want the rivers to be like they used to, where everyone was considerate of other people. That is the way it should be!! cool cool

I have known Craig for many years now and I too have fished along side of him countless times. He is a very good fisherman and guide! That's just goes to show you that the Cowlitz, besides all of its other problems can produce a few really good fishing guides!

At one time for some unknown reason Craig quite guiding for a couple of years. I can still remember when Craig first started guiding with his stepfather (Clancy) on the Cowlitz. I am glad to see that he's back at it again.

Boy how time fly's!
