Will you be going to the Klick from the Columbia River side or through Yakima?

I can give you directions from either, but let me know which way you're coming from.

As for the Cow, things are picking up, particularly with the nooks. There are always fish in that river, you just have to put in the time and find them.

Head east towards the Dalles, and there are two different ways to get there. Personally, cross over to the Washington side and then head UP the Klickitat river through the town itself.

Or else, to hit it further upriver, which is always where I access it, go to the town of Goldendale, WA and turn west by the Dairy Queen. Basically, stay on that road for about 15 miles and you'll eventually get to the river. Whatever you do, do NOT merge to the right.

If you need better directions, let me know.

Make sure to read the regs before fishing the klick. Only open 3 days a week. Also, it is closed above fisher hill bridge for springers.

I dont know how to get there but I have gone flogging on the cowlitz at barrier damn and its reeeeeel slow. Mostly because theres about a 1000 people fishing there. Ive been fishing in the mornings on weekdays to beat the crowd and have caught one nook every morning. I stood up by the damn in CLOSED waters and counted the fish that jumped until I reached a hundred and then looked at my watch. 4 min. Thats alot of fish. Theres about a fish for every 6 guys. sleep

Unless you are fishing for whitefish. All other fishing above fisher hill is closed. As of June 1 it is only steelhead and Jacks that are open.

Above is regs for eastside rivers. Go to Klickitat, use a gazeteer.

actually whitefishing is closed too if im not mistaken. I was down there below fisher hill on wed and it was reeallly slow. There were about 50 people and about 8 jacks caught. Not good since usually the jacks signify the end of the run. Never know. But get there early if you go ( like hour to 2 before light), park at the bridge and start hiking down! But only on mon, wed, and sat.
