Been doing quite a bit of trout fishin on lake ballinger latley. We hooked a jack blackmouth and a few jack steelies the last few days. I guess the fish and game is putting all sorts of
fish in there these days. Has anyone else heard of this or caught any of these in other lakes?

They are chinook. For years the Professor, I believe from the UW...? Has been planting them, he lives on the NW side of the lake by the golf course. I used to fish that lake every week when I lived less than a block away. Also the South East side of the lake has an outlet stream that does go to Lake Wa.??? So, I have even heard of a few adults found at the ck outlet, this was years ago! As now I believe the stream is impassable...Great little urban lake!

The chinook I caught was about1.5 pounds.
My buddy has seen at least a handful more caught out of there. The steelies are indentical to the jacks I have caught on local rivers. The spotting is diffrent from the rainbow species.
Also no color along the side of the fish like a rainbow. Definatly not kokes.
