What's the best way to present bait to chinook salmon in rivers with glacial colored water? If they cant see the bait is an egg cluster or shrimp necesary or would scent on corkies and yarn be just as attractive.

Any body know if kings find anise to be tasty. beer

Every time I have ever hit a 'Nook in the river it was while bottom bouncing. Shrimp, eggs, corky whatever.... but to answer the presentation question I would advise presenting your offering within the bottom 1 1/2 feet of water.

In Alaska, most of the rivers I've fished are glacial/milky. The success I've seen involved a glob of milking eggs and a spin glow behind a jet diver.
I guess that scent and sound in the path of the fish triggers the strike.
I'm no expert but that's what I've observed.
