The amount of salt usually determines how long the salmon keeps in the refer. I vacuum pack mine when ready. With suger in the brine the fish will eventually mold in the refer.

I have vacuum packed and froze smoked Salmon several times. I served it up to a year later with no complaints.

I've kept smoked fish in the fridge for a month. It still tasted fine. I'd imagine any longer than that would be pushing it. While watching the rose bowl this year we ate fish that I caught a year prior. I wouldn't do that without a vaccuum packer though......Tasted great.

Vac. Pac and freeze, works great. Even just vac packed and left in refer it will last quite awhile. Like said before I wouldn't keep it longer than a month though.
