I'm just starting to plan a week long fishing trip during the last week of Augest. I know there will be fish in all the rivers but which ones will they be? I will be fishing the Bog, Duc, Hoh, etc. So what fish will be in the rivers at this time?

I f the weather gives you a shot of rain there should be an early run of Sol Duc hatchery silvers looking for a well placed spinner or spoon.

The Bogie is ushually a bit slow that time of year unless you want to fly fish for some cutties. As far as the rest of the rivers are concerned the Sol Duc should have a mix with some Summer Runs and the start of the Summer Coho run as well as the tail end of the Sockey. The Hoh should have a mix of wild and hatchery Summer Runs as well as some brute Summer Kings be sure to release those summer Kings and wild steelies if you get down there. The Lower Clawah should have a good number of Hatchery Summer Runs in its lower end but by Augest they are very spooky and the water is ultra low and clear. It can make for some frusteratinhg fishing down there as you can see the fish but they tend to be quite lockjawed.
