I will be spending a few days in Port Hardy fishing with my wife and kids. I was considering spending a couple days after that in Quatsino. I have never been there and am wondering if there is decent lodging? If its just me, I'll sleep in my truck, but with a 5 and a 2 year old, I need something at least clean. Any input on the area, be it lodging, food, or fishing related would be appreciated. (I'll be in Port Hardy 8/3-8/6, thinking of spending 8/7-8/8 in quatsino.)

Thanks

Have you checked the Salmon University website? They have some on Quatsino Sound that you may find helpful.

I did go there first. They didn't give much info on lodging. They only listed one place, it could be that's all there is I guess. That is a helpful site though!

Not very much there...you might be able to stay in Port Alice...not sure about the reg's this year but at the time you are going most of the inner sound might be closed so take enough fuel to run out to the mouth and the big blue should be open

Elkrun - sorry I wasn't much help. I'm going to guess there isn't much there. From my experience Vancouver Island can get pretty remote.
