I'm not going to be able to go out on the June 1st opener - had planned on going out on the Sky. The first chance I'll have will be Tuesady. Having only started steelheading last year and not knowing steelie habits too well, I was wondering if the fish left will be spooked come Tuesday by all the activity on the water Sunday and Monday. Any thoughts?

The Cowlitz gets hit as hard or harder then any river in the state when it comes to steelhead fishing. The fish usually don't have much of a problem biting your bait after the heavy pressures of the weekend fishing. Just find their holding water and give them your bait! If they are there, they will usually take your offering.

I see no reason for a steelhead to act any different in the Cowlitz as in the Sky. Fish are fish!

Good luck
