But I don't understand the correlation between animal rights activists and someone that volunteers to help support a fellow American's freedom.

I've always viewed PETA and the like as very narrow minded and bigotted. They don't seem like the kind of people that allow others to choose how they live their life - it's their way or no way. They can't open their mind enough to accept others and simply live and let live. Sort of like the KKK in my opinion. Almost like they're paranoid of something. Like someone's going to try and convert them to fishing?

I'm sure you agree that's a pretty stupid thing to be afraid of.

NARN is an Animal Rights group here in Washington state. I believe the acronym stands for North American Animal Network..

NARN is asking for volunteers to help spread the word of Animal Rights at the Gay Parade. The reason I believe they stated was because there were many "opened minded" people there.
I do not believe the gay parade people are asking for volunteers...

NARN is entitled to their American Freedoms as others are, But I draw the line when they they force their animal rights views down my throat.

That has happened quite frequently these past few years through the intiative process.

I can't believe bob even allowed this to remain on the site. Who cares if there is a gay pride festival?
Personally I have a lot of gay friends and I am sure there are a few gay people on this site that are afraid to speak up, don't act like gay people don't fish or do other outdoor activities just like everyone else.

This was a GD informational post about the local animal rights movement needing volunteers at a gay parade and since we have so many on this board that openly support their movement, I thought it pertinant!
