Havent been fishing the NF Lewis for a couple weeks. By most accounts it was good for a day and then not for a couple days and I couldnt seem to hit when it was on. At least downstream away from the meathole seen. Is it still pretty much that way? If its ok will someone let us know how the summers and fishing pressure has been lately? Gracious! Is it like the Cowlitz for having good runs come in during July?

Sandpiper,

I posted a similar topic about a week ago. Opinions vary but there appears to be a few fish around. No where near the numbers of fish like last year but if you know the river you should be able to hook a few and if you are lucky you might hit a school of fresh chromers moving through. I went out last Thursday at the mouth and popped a nice 9 pounder for a couple of hours of fishing so I know they're still moving up. It doesn't sound like there is a ton of pressure. They've been running the river at 1250 CFS so be careful if you are running a sled. Good luck!

It should be picking up now, the steelhead numbers are running over 1200 now going over Bonneville. 2 weeks ago it was running around 200-300. So it seems like its heading up hello

Thanks much guys. Appreciate the info!

I was going to try sneaking off from work and get a day in on the NF or Cow before the 3 day weekend pressure hits. Couldn't, so I'm betting on more room to find some water to fish out on the Columbia over the holiday.

Happy 4th. Thanks again Veterans!
