Ahhhh yessssss....the 4th of July. I have many many memories from past years...such as the time those *******s across the street's fence managed to go up in flames (I learned a hard lesson that year...flaming fireworks and wood = FIRE!).

That same year...I learned that dropping flaming fireworks down a storm drain will kill the nearest trees.

Many 4th's included launching bottle rockets horizontal and not vertical at passing cars and so on!...I also learned one year that those icky awful slugs sure do warm up to a firecracker (lay that ole firecracker along side the slug and he will wrap his body around it).

...anyways...Happy 4th everyone!!!!!!!

...and I do have a streak of sorts...I think I have hooked a summer-run on every 4th, 4 out of the last 5 years...tomorrow I will be going for 5 out of 6! smile

Hi Sparkey.....your guardian angel here.... laugh
From the sounds of it, I'd have to work overtime to keep you safe.
Hope you get the fifth. <img border="0" alt="[Goldfish]" title="" src="graemlins/goldfish.gif" />

Extra special thanks to all the Veterans as well as those in service today! thumbs Nice pic posh II!

Anyone have any Boom City stories?

I remember a fireworks war from way back so vividly I smell powder and my ears are ringing! My friends the Chauffer and Kick were on my team and we were launching salvos of bottle rockets over a berm at our enemies cruise misslile style - throwing them up in the air so the fuse sets off the rocket just as it arcs down at them! We were hyped and waiting for counter attack. Kick was on point and had a couple 16pks of thunderbombs unwrapped and ready to go sticking out of his back pocket. The Chauffer pointed this out to me and naturally lit em up while Kick was vigilantly looking ahead. As the first crackers started off he was up like a shot! He did a very interpretive stlye dance that cracked us up and when he came at us I don't know if he was more pissed about his stinging booty or us truly ROFLOAO! Just when things calmed down he turned around and we saw that the back pocket of his Toughskins was blown off, just held on at the bottom point! Laughed so much it hurt, in stitches in the dirt.

There was a time I set Grandma's hedge on fire, never did grow back frown

Great memories of all out war at Seaside on the 4th, I'll bet a buddy and myself spent $700-800 on good stuff that year.

Favorite fun time with fireworks?? Living in the frat house and realizing that the diameter of my pellet gun barrel was just perfect for fitting the larger rockets that we used to fire into the sleeping porch of the Lambda Chi house across the street about at 2 in the morning wink

Sometimes I wonder how I made it this far!
