Rockfish, What makes you so sure it'll be a good opener? Two years ago it was red-hot from the opener on. Last year the fish never really showed up. ![frown frown](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/frown.gif)

I went 4 for 6 flyfishing for srcs on friday on silvers between 3-6 lbs. one older guy caught some also. last year was pretty good I thought, I'm fishing the kitsap penninsula cant say anything about across the water thou. had similar results the day before also fishing the canal north of the bridge on the kitsap side.

Went out to Point No Point twice in the last two weeks and didn't see any signs of fish other than dogfish. No bait fish, no seals, no salmon rolling. Doesn't look promising.

any current news on the coho bite out at point no point or deception pass? i know it's been rather slow but just curious to know if the fish are in and jumping around or not. any word on pinks? was thinking about heading out to whidbey island this saturday. by the way, i prefer to fish west beach because north beach when it has more than half a dozen people becomes a zoo. has anyone experimented with new buzz bomb configurations or other beach casting techniques?

rockhopper fished just south of point no point sunday with some success on silvers using poppers on a fly rod. as far as buzzbombs don't know but used zingers last year at point no point and caught fish when no body else did.
