Deciding between PA or area 7 this weekend. I've been struggling in 7 and would like to hear if it is worth running the boat across the straights to PA. Any info apreciated.

I haven't heard of anyone fishing here... why fish here and throw back 30 lb'ers when you can drive an hour and keep them? Thats what the people I know are saying anyway... They are saying 1 in 5 hatchery fish, but I'm over 15 kings and today I put the first hatchery fish in the boat. Keeper silver numbers are going up for me at least... In fact, I getting ready to grill todays king on the barbeque, then I'll smother it in yesterdays dungeness crab, and cover that with holindaise (sp?). Life is rough up here!

Elkrun. I hear you but unfortunetly boat is to big to trailer and Sunday obligations keep me from running any further then PA. Wish I had time to run to Neah Bay.

If you run up this way, try the humps off the hook in front of the mill, or troll along the shelf in front of the hook. You could pick up some pinks or maybe even a silver if you can find some rips. Good luck.

I was up at PA on Sunday and fished until about 3 pm, it was plain "lousy". The checker had checked in 4 kings that day, and I had one take down on the rigger. We also jigged for a long time with everyone else, out on the humps, did not see a fish hooked, just dogfish snagged.
Should have stuck to the plan and went to Westport.
