I am going to be in westport this weekend but unfortunately will not have a boat. Anyone have any advice on a good location to catch crab or fish without a boat?

They rent crab rings in westport and the docks will usually produce some crab. Fish is another story, unless you have a boat I don't think you have a chance at a salmon yet. Later in the year the salmon come into the marina, but that is in late september, october. Good luck

Can you catch them at the Marina? If I remember correctly, someone posted that all of Grey's Harbor is closed this year and not to open at all.

Just got back from Westport and the surf perch fishing was hot. Definitely a fun way to get in some fish this time of year out there, and the nice weather lets you stand in the surf in your trunks and leave the waders at home.
There's always the charters too, which are banging the salmon (try the Freedom if you are looking for a good boat with a Great captain!)

I just got off the phone with a buddy who said the paper had reported they are catching Kings of the North side of the pier. I had said it was kinda early for that but he said its in print. Give the marina a call & confirm that report!

Try the south jetty I have been picking up limits of ling after work when I drop off the crab gear before the weekend trip. Fish off the rocks out past the horn Its a long walk to the end but that is where I'd be for lings if I didn't have a boat
