We can't let B Gray's post let y'all think that only the guys can catch the big 'uns.

Here's a 60 lb. kinger for Lilly today smile

Here's what one looks like after being skinned out for a mount:

And proof the little ones can do it too, here's a 34 lb'er for 3 year old Andrew!! Way to go!!

I am curious. How do you rig a three year old to bring in a fish like that, without losing the gear and perhaps the boy??

I am told that if you can get a novice to just keep cranking the reel handle a skilled oarsman can actually fight the fish with the movement of the boat. I have been around guides that tell stories about it but I have not seen it first hand. However, with my skill level, perhaps it was happening to me and I didn't know it. rolleyes

One way I use is to leave the rod in the rod holder. The little ones can do a good job this way. Of course with a 34# king the Guide on the oars had a lot to do with it i`m sure. Nice fish Bob.

My Father worked for Commercial Seafood Companies for 40+ years here in Seattle and up in AK, and at one time was involved in a joint venture to produce Salmon skin wallets. We received a box of samples that were made in Korea. They were pretty cool, and up 'till a year ago I still used one from about 8 years ago. Outlasted any leather wallet I ever owned!
