Just got back from 6 days of fishing Neah Bay yesterday. We fished both inside & outside. Silvers: you can catch them until you get tired of them, from Wadah Is to Tatoosh, just pick any rip, plus most places we stopped out on the ocean. Didn't really matter what you tossed out, spoons, hootchies, herring, they hit it all. Clipped vs non-clipped was about 1:7 but we caught so many each day that finding a limit of clipped coho was not an issue. They are still running pretty small, about 3-5 average. We caught only a very few that were 7-9 lbs. For kings we had to run all the way to Umatilla Reef area where we typically started trolling when water depth hit 240'. (about 5 miles off shore) Most of the charters were going there as well. We limited our boat on kings each day we went down there, but had to work for them. Getting past the silvers was a real problem. We mostly fished 90' to 160' to avoid the silvers if we could get it down past them on way there. Last day out (Thursday) king limit was a 12, 20, 20 & 26. The 26 was a white king. Does anyone know if the Columbia R. gets many white kings? Heard b4 that many of them headed for Frasier River but caught this one south of the straights & would expect it to be headed for the big C. Fishing for kings inside the straights or near Tatoosh was pretty spotty. A few were being caught, but not enough to keep most interested if they had the ability to go out onto the ocean where the action was pretty much non-stop. Skagway was pretty dead, tried it two times with no luck & saw no body else with any there either. For the kings we used plugs (to avoid most silvers) or flasher/herring combo. CAught a few on large spoons as well. Many of the fish had large horse herring in them so large lures were best. We lost parts of 3 days on the ocean due to wind/rain early in the week, plus one day of fog so had to pick our locations according to weather conditions. Black sea bass plentiful as always. Campground nearly full Saturday, but after that not that many boats out. Never can figure it out, such great fishing every year I go and not too crowded. I used to go to Canada for a week every year, but now I go to NB instead as is closer, much cheaper & the fishing is as good or better! By the way, if you are headed out....the bait quality (herring) at Big Salmon was pretty poor this year.

I couldn't get below the silvers friday. I got a silver at 220' with a plug! Released several barely legal kings, looking for the big boys! finally limited near waddah later in the evening with 15, 17lbs. Not the ones we were looking for all day, but pretty good.

Got back last night from a 2 day trip. We got several Kings in the 20# range and one that was 25-30#. It too was an albino. Silvers until your arms feel like they are gonna fall off. I was fishing the praire and the ratio was more like a 1 to 1 for our boat????
Elkrun do you have a yamaha and a honda kicker? If so sorry for corking you outside of the launch sat. am.
