Me and a buddy went to Westport and here are a couple of Kings that we boated, and by using the girth and measurement formula provided by BOB they weighed 45 and 43 pounds. Funny thing is that I worked all of last year to get one big one and all I could muster was a 26 pounder. We were fishing in about 260 feet of water and out about 16 miles for these beauties. After catching the first one, I radioed one of my pals in his boat and he came over. Next thing I know he is calling me and tells me he just caught his biggest King ever out of Westport, turns out it weighed 58.5 pounds. Steve Ng

Caught them on a green=glo hot spot flasher and a green glo cuttlefish. It seems strange that the kings are out that far, but as of the last few years that is where we find them. Also saw a few commercial trollers working that area too, I like to fish near those guys because they have the inside info, and know whats up.

How deep were you fishing 30-60 feet deep? 90-120? Bottom. In Neah Bay two weeks ago we caught our 30s on top water. When the warm water came in, the last nice sized one was 180 feet deep in 280 feet of water. We were using black label herring. Also what was your leader length? We are on our way this weekend. Nice Fish!!!!!

OK, first off, let me state that I don't view fishing as a competition, so I'm not jealous.
Second off, I'd just like to come clean and say "Man, am I jealous."
steve, those are some BEASTY fish. I've never been responsible for a pair like that. Way to go!
P.S. The outboard I bought off you works great. Thanks.
