I actually do not know much about the reel I won; but it looks trippin' and shiny and ORANGE and I realllllly doubt anyone else on the river will have it (or want it LOL)

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A NEW AMBASSADEUR 6600CL ROCKET REEL, REEL HAS 3 STAINLESS STEEL BEARINGS, INSTANT ANTI-REVERSE, FAST CAST THUMBAR FREE SPOOL, TITANIUM NITRIDE LINE GUIDE, HIGH SPEED POWER RETRIEVE, MADE IN SWEDEN, HOLDS 245 YDS/14 LB LINE, 6.3:1 GEAR RATIO, MADE IN SWEDEN,

but....i'd love to know what you guys think.....did I overpay?...around ~$ 80 US

also...what does the "CL" mean at the end of the 6600 model number??...i think "rocket" means you can attach it to your fishing rod and ride it to the moon

actually I heard it uses smoother ball bearings for faster further casts...is the 6600CL much different that the 6500C3?

thanks

i've never heard of that one...i know abu makes a few orange ambassadeurs, a couple are in the trophy series(they have a kind of fish on the side of the reel, like a salmon, musky etc), and a 6000b, which is more of a budget ambassadeur(it has bushings instead of bearings)

the only reel i've seen with the "rocket" designation is the 6500CS, which looks like a mid 70's ambassadeur(it has the flat sides with 2 brake knobs), i'd like to get my hands on one when i get some cash, it'd be a great king reel

hmm, with a little more looking, i couldn't find anything that looked like that reel. i'm sure it'll be unique on the river, and since it's apparently in the rocket series, you should be able to wing it out there with the best of em!

Try this www.abu-garcia.com/home.cfm for info. There is a spot for "contact us" and I'm sure there will tell you what you've got. They have always been extremely helpful, like it was there job. What a novel approach.

ABU got back to me...would you believe..it is a WALMART USA and Australia model....it is called the 6600CL "Brute"...hahaha...anyways it is still an excellent reel but Walmart has it for regular price of $80 (spoke to a store in bellingham about it)...maybe worth keeping an eye if it ever goes on sale...who knows..they might drop it to $65 or something...

anyways...it feels a little less exotic now..oh well...
