C&R'd a 14 lb. Chinook and a 3-4 lb. silver yesterday near Kingston. The silver was loaded with feed and he looked like a little football!

Thanks for the report. Looks like there are very good numbers of resident silvers showing so far this year. We got into 'em thick on the East side of the sound and I hear that they are everywhere on the West side too. Must be a ton of krill out there in the sound because the meat in the silvers was so red that it looked like sockeye! Also found 4 digested herring in the belly of one of the silvers. Little piglet he was! Awesome barbecue fish too! smile

Friday report:

Fished and crabbed possession today. Interesting results to my own "scent packs" on one of the downriggers. Same gear fished near the bottom. 3 Dogs, ( I was messing with trolling speed and picked up two on coho killers eek ) and one 6 lb. Chinook (C&R'd) All on the scent downrigger (switched sides 1/2 way through) lures. Not enough to prove they work, but interesting...

Anyhow, I think I'll use on both riggers' at the bubble tommorow.
