Anybody going to hit area 8-2 on Friday? Thinking of playing hooky and going for it. A little salmon, crab and sun (don't forget the brews) is a good combination.

What is the concensess on the humpy numbers?
From what I hear they are already stacking in the skagit.

The bubble remains productive for me. My boat got a 19 lb'er and an 8 last Saturday. I'll try again this Saturday if I can make it out.

It doesn't sound like the pinks are in yet. I'm sure a few are trickling through by the shipwreck.

Today was the first day that the Bush Point area really saw a lot of fish. Most all were Pinks, so they should be to Possession in just a couple short tides.

About 30 fish landed from the beach.

I'll be out on the bubble again Friday morning. Looks like pretty good tides this weekend (although not that much exchange). Look for 19' Striper with green canvas.

Got out this morning from 5:30 to 10:00. Lots of boats out. Only saw a few fish caught. Picked up this nice 18# (not very chrome) fish jigging just after the tide change. I'll probably try Elliott Bay tomorrow.

Still a nice fish!
Mind saying what kind of jig and how deep?
I am coming "Home" Monday for a week and a half of fishing and breathing that clean, moist, salt-laden air! I cannot wait!!!!!! My wife is pretty pumped about catching Humpies again.

Later! laugh

The fish above was caught on the same jig that caught two fish on the opener... a 2 1/2 oz. blue "Grim Reefer" (with glitter plastic coating - bought at Outdoor Emporium). I was in about 50' of water at the mouith of the bay right around the +9.0 high tide. Good Luck!

I brought my wife an daughter out tonight for a pleasure cruise and ended up trolling (of course wink ) for an hour. Caught a 7# Coho at 40' about 7:30 using humpy gear. Nice fish and my 2 1/2 year old daughter can't stop talking about it. "Daddy caught a biiiiiig Fishie" It was fun. Great night on the water.
