Went to Westport 7/31 on a charter. 75% of our catch was pinks and the locals said thay have never seen so many pinks in the area. We were about 12 miles due west of the bay.

We were right there with you! In my 24' Olympic. We came away with a couple nice kings and silvers.

The fishing was unbelievable. We couldn't keep our lines in the water...the silvers would take the herring off the surface before I could get the DR down!

It was my first trip out of Westport. I felt safe, but it was pretty rough out there. Was that typical for Westport or is it normally a little flatter?

It was also my first trip there. It was beautiful in the afternoon but rough in the morning. I fought off sea-sickness all day. I felt pretty good as long as I was outside but the minute I went in the cabin I could feel the nausea coming on.

Crap! I forget the Dramamine.
