Has anyone been having luck on Possession bar? I am going out by boat on Sunday from Edmonds and am trying to decide where? Any suggestions as to where has been good lately and what lure/ depth you were using would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard a lot of nothin good about Possession lately. Last Saturday I met a couple guys retrieving their boats at Shilshole who had gotten limits of silvers at Jefferson Head. Took the wife out Sunday and we got two silvers off Jeff Head and a pink near Kingston. We were fishing green glow flashers and green glow hootchies at 70 feet on the riggers.

Good luck and let us know where you went and how you did.

If the tide's going out, fish the west side following the bottom contour SE from the Scatchett head buoy. Incoming, fish the east side near the green can and up to the bait box, or the SE corner. Depth and lure depend on what species you want to catch.

Try your humpy gear (white dodger/pink mini-squid) on the west side down about 50 feet.

smile This early in the season you might want to stick to the kitsap penninsula side (Kingston,Jeffhead) for silvers or pinks near the shipping lanes. The bait box in the early am high tide is always a good bet if your set on fishing possesion. As is the horseshoe hole just south of the point. The waters west of scatchett head can be good for silvers when they're in. I like to start at the yellow can by double bluff at low tide and work the rips untill I find them and then follow them towards the west side of possesion when the incoming tide pushes the bait towards the bar. Good luck! smile
