I recentely purchased a ninteen foot Olympic hard top and my current vehicle won't handle the size of boat. So I was wondering if any of you guys might have or know someone selling a decent older pickup that can handle the job, something in the 3/4 ton class.

Thanks,

Steve Rice

Hey, I know that guy... (Doug is my neighbor, too).

I use a 3/4 ton Suburban with a 454 to pull my 24' Olympic. It does pretty good.

The suburban for sale is a 1996 3/4 ton 454 with only 60k miles.

I'd sell mine and buy it, but I already coughed up the money for a new trans...mine has 145k miles.

I have the perfect tow rig for ya. A 1973 Chevey 1/2 short box 4X4 With a mildly built 396. Mechanically the truck is great, the body is shot. The tranny, transfer case and rear end have recently been rebuilt. The rear end even has an Auburn limited slip in it. The ball joints and tie rod ends are fairly new. The truck has a 4" lift and 33" tires that are 90 to 95% new. No radio, The radiator is new too.

The engine needs a little carb work which I plan on doing real soon. I have owned the truck for only a week and a half, so I still havent found all the bugs yet.

I will let it go for $1800.00.

It has tons of power. I towed a 17' sled with it the other day and I didnt even know it was back there.

If interested e-mail me at driftboater@msn.com

wish i would've known about that a couple months ago, i'd have snatched it from ya. 1800 bucks for a v8 4x4 is usually a steal, considering the prices i see a lot of trucks going for nowadays, even old rust bucket ones

I work with a guy thats selling a 72' GMC , 3/4 ton. It has a brand new 402 big block in it with probally 2500 miles on it . Brand new tranny and new radiator. E-mail at fidelly24@hotmail.com for any additional info needed. Asking price $3000.00. The truck was used to pull a 30' travel trailer, it'll handle your boat just fine.

Sky-Guy, stoped by and talked to the owner this rig is the cleanest i'v seen, interior look's new, the out side looks new, the color is blueish teal, the interior is grey, he paid 13,000 kinda high but paid for the low milage, asking 10,500 if any one is serious i wouldn't let this one slip by, you won't find one any nicer in it's class, approx 63,000 miles, overhead consel, this suburban is loaded, 1996 3/4 ton, 454 has the trailer brake system up in the cab,
