Finally broke out of a long-running slump with two kings on Elliot Bay this morning. One small fish weighed in around 7 lbs and one larger at 15lbs. Both caught on hooded herring 50" behind a flasher. First was at 80 feet of cable in ~100 feet of water early and the second was at 160 feet of cable in ~200 feet of water later. Fished from 5:00-10:00 am near the navy boat. Missed some major hits, one of which was so strong it mangled my back hook. Great to get some action for a change!

I picked up a nice 21lb female off of the dock on the old standby buzz bomb, two more guys picked up two 24lb males a couple minutes after I got mine to the dock. This all took place around 7:00am. I was all grinns for quite a while.

I fished the north end this weekend (8-2) but my little brother was calling me every half hour from Elliott. "Dude, 20 punder" , then "Hey bro, just limited with a 18." This was the same story both Friday and Saturday.

I think a bunch of fresh fish entered the sound from Admiralty inlet. I C&R'd a nice 20# hen after ten mintues of fishing right in front of the bait house @ Possession too. Slowly Banged Silvers after that.

Nice.....thanks for the reports guys. I wish I could have been out there, but after fishing Friday and Saturday I broke down and decided to take care of a few responsibilities Sunday. With a couple shots of rain this weekend, I'm thinking the fishing should be awesome just about everywhere next weekend.

Partner and I caught 5 kings to 21# over the weekend. All on bait. Down 50, 65 and 100', in 120-180' of water. 2 were without flasher and others with a green hotspot. It was combat fishing in the bay tho'. The largest was snared by a boat of 4 guys. 2 of their lines caught the 21#. After that was cleared it caught on their downrigger cable. After that was cleared it snared their trolling motor. After that cleared it caught on their large engine. After that cleared it caught on their other downrigger cable. After that cleared, it was finally netted! All the fish had some color but still bright with sea lice. The eggs on the ladies were still firm. Next weekend should be peak.
