I was at westport all weekend with my Family and sunday afternoon I last left my pot near the horn on the south jetty to come back an hour later to find it gone. I had 2 bouys on it one green and white and one red and white. It was a nice weighted pot I bought last year. That really wreaked my weekend. I looked arround for it for a good hour before I gave up. I had plenty of rope and a weight on it to keep it away form any props and the tide was slack when I gave up. If anyone is going to westport in the next day or so maybe you could take a quick look. (one last chance)

Thanks,

Jeff

Was this one of the many pots we were dodging on our way over the bar last weekend?

If so I think the CG removed them before someone got killed...

It ws not near the bar. About 30 yards from the jetty and just before you get to the horn on your way out. Not in the way of anyone going out fishing, Many many pots there. I will admit that I do not have my contact info on the bouys! I should have had that on them, my fault. In the future I will. There is 75' of rope and the pot is heavy and would not of moved. It was in 30' - 40 ' foot of water. As I also said I had a weight on the line to keep the extra rope down. There were other bouys that were visable and the tide had stoped going out when I gave up and had to head for home. Thanks for the coments and if anyone ever happened to come accross it.

The problem is when folks "share" without asking :>

It's also possible the State Fish and game pulled it. As I read the regs, name and address are required. Still sorry that you lost your pot.

I think some confused board members are already on their way to Westport to search for some of this missing pot...
