My buddies and I are heading up to the Peninsula next week (Aug 17th-23rd) and were wondering what kind of gear we should pick up. We were thinking spinners for the sivlers and some bobbers and jigs for steelhead. If anyone knows of some spots, that would help us greatly. We don't need any zipperlip places, just somewhere that we can get into some fish. We plan on fishing the bogie, calawah, hoh and maybe a few more if we get the time. Also, we may try a little fly fishing, so if anyone knows of any patters that work please drop me a line. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also, how can I change my avatar to a picture of a picture I have on my computer?

Please do me a favor. Print your post and signature out. Put it in a safe place. On your 40th birthday, pull it out and read it. See what you think about pain and Chicks then.

I'm also heading out there all next week also. From what I have gatherd, our best bet for salmon will be the Sol Duc and steelhead on the others. Can anyone give any more advice?

Check out this site:

http://www.fishingnorthwest.com/guides.htm

It's updated about once a week and has decent info. Looks like the Hoh may be a better bet. Calawah is only running at 65 cfs.
