I just wanted to let people know that Salmon Bay Tackle is closing shop.
This was a great tackle shop in heart of Ballard. They carried some of the best stuff and Keith was always willing to help out any one. It was our version of Teds here in Seattle.

Anyway, he does still have a lot of terminal tackle , jigs, books, and enough backer rod to last a life time. Keith also has great selection of fly materials. It would be nice to have some people come down and get the rest of his great stock.

Always sad to hear about any business go out but a tackle store is a tough go for sure. Too many big boys out there that can sell too cheap to compete with. We all love the personal service of a Ted's but everyone would probably admit that they stock up at the cheaper stores....I know Mike at Ted's could retire on what I have spent there over the years but I spread it around too. Sorry to hear about the store closing ...I'll stop by and spend a few bucks tomorrow.
