i was wondering if anyone has been up to neahbay and have fished for lingcod or black sea bass i would appreciate any info thanks!!!

Head down to Umatilla Reef at the NOAA Bouy.
Ling Limits no Problem! Sea bass too!

how about anywhere inside of tatoosh island,i think umitilla reef is too far i am only in a 17' boat!!

Go to west side of tatoosh find rocks start fishen, or get to any of the kelp beds to find them .

What's the best way to catch the lings? Jigs or herring? How deep do you need to be...... I have hooked many bottom fish just west of Neah, but only ever got 1 ling over there.

There is no best way but ,what has worked for me is an 8"worm jigging the bottom.ALSO you could use a small rock cod ,flounder, shiner perch, and the kelp greenling. Live bait works if youre in the right spot. wink Good luck !!!!
