TTT..

I have a trip on Friday morning and would appreciate some info, what kind of rods and reels should I take, or should I just trust the gear that the charters provide. Someone mention jigs to me before, like the blue Megabaits, any other suggestions? obviously, it is my first time out and appreciate any tips.

Ok now he is gone....lets see if he comes back and talks about 44 miles out 8 to 10 fish per man and use the charter gear cause that's what they do? cool

Thanks papaslap, very helpful... rolleyes

Man was that fun, but man do I hurt. laugh

As far as the report goes close to what was said before, we were 52 miles, I have coordinates if your interested, and brought 102 fish in for 9 guys fishing, we could of caught more, but most were dead tired and so we left at 2 PM to head in, we started fishing at 0530 ish. I brought 16 to the boat and another guy brought in 18, but all caught fish. We thought we were tough until we found out that a women on another boat caught 26.
Thank you to those who suggested the mega bait, as it worked as good as others when the fish were really thick, it also allowed me to horse the fish a bit more than the live bait.

Now, for a question, who has some reciepies for my 100 pounds of tuna fillets?
Thanks,

NEN cool
