Hit the water at 7:00 this morning and was back by 10:00 with limits on silvers plus a number of smaller fish C&Red. Results were 3 resident cohos and one nice migrating fish at around 6lbs. Lost a real beauty right at the boat. Saw just enough to see that his tail extended beyond my 3" hootchie, 24" leader, and 11" flasher. That would be a big silver! Then he was gone. Great morning on the water though!!

I was out last week with a buddy, and we got our limits of residents in good time.

The highlight was the two kings I caught, one over twenty pounds, and another taildancing acrobatic fish that I was sure was a big migrating coho until it was in the net. It probably went twelve or fifteen pounds. I sent them both on their way so you guys in the South Sound can catch them.

Both kings (as well asabout six silvers) hit green/glow coho killers about 32" behind a green glow spatterback metal flasher, about 70 feet down in 80 to 120 feet of water.

For the record, that big fish I missed today could also have been a king. I sometimes have a hard time telling the difference looking down on them in the water. It hit a small hootchie trolled really fast at around 35 feet of cable while the sun was high, which sounds more silvery but I caught a king like that at Jeff Head a few days ago so who knows.

Off of Edmonds, this past weekend I hit a Kinger @30ft, it surprised me, but after watching the finder in that area, it was laoded with what I think was Kings.
The Kinger got released of course and did not come out of the drink.

Now I have to find them dang pignosers for the Derby! thumbs
