Now that the Redondo boat launch is closed for a while, I'm looking for a place to fish around the Seattle area. Is Elliot Bay doing good now or how about around Alkai Point? With gas prices the way they are, I don't want to have to run too far. Any input would be appreciated.

Don't know about Seattle, but you can put in at Mulilteo and catch lots within a mile of the dock. That may be a longer drive than you want.

You can still launch at Des Moines (sling) or Pt D.

Easys right when I got to Redondo last evening there was only 1 boat there and it was one of the rental boats from Pt defiance.
Had a half dozen boats show up while I was there and they all came from Tacoma.

If launching at Des Moines ,bunk trailers must have CUT OUTS for the sling or they send ya packen cry cry They might launch some boats cause of being closed at Redondo and give a warning, but hard to say.

Carl C.,just to add more beathead it's 20$ in and out ,and if ya leave your boat in over night it's another 12$ .(For up to a 20' boat) even more for bigger boats. Ron H.

$20 to launch at Point Defiance? You got to be kidding. I have not launched there in a couple years. $10 is even steep. Would not be worth fishing for $20. Launched at Redondo last friday, it was reasonably priced. I did not notice if there was anything about how long that ramp will be closed. Does anyone know?

Buy the time they finish all the work to the Redondo launch it will most likely cost more to use it too.

I read somewhere Redondo would be closed the for approximately 1 year.

As for places to go. I'd focus my efforts on humpy hollow (for pinks) and Westpoint/Meadwo for silvers.
