Small and smaller Dick nights. pink, purple and various combinations of silver and pink, chartreuse , etc. Try a small 1/4 ounce pink jig, with gentle jiggin motion . They love them!

I have fished the Sky once this year with poor results. One fish in three hours.

I have fished the Snohomish twice, with very good sucess. Last night my friend and I landed seven fish between 5:00 P.M. and dark. I'm headed there right now. I will give a report.

3/8 oz jigs with hot pink marabo or small hot pink hoochies on them work well. Fish active fish you see jumping/finning. No fish active on top = much lower success. IMHO

Hmmm, let's see. If coho like silver, sockeyes see red, blackmouth pop CopCar (?) and chum chomp Puse, then maybe (I could be way off here - note: checking my inflection), just maybe, humpies want pink? wink
By the way, let us know if pink really works down there cause I, for one, am still not convinced this isn't a conspiracy by the tackle manufacturers to dump their excess hot pink inventory every two years.

Fished the Snohomish between Highway Two bridge and Snohomish from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 tonight. Travelled the river looking for finning fish. Not too many around. As always, there is a big school, of pinks by the railroad bridge in Snohomish, but they are stacked, stale fish and not good biters. Landed three there. Moved back down to about 1/4 mile below the Lowell Rd ramp and found a school of relativly active fish. Landed five more there. Only kept two fish. many are turning dark already.

Best lure for us was a homemade 1/4 ounce pink jig with flashabou and marabou.

I caught 5 yesterday fishing the Sky at the mouth of the Sultan. One was on a pink buzzbomb and the remainder were on a wee dick nite that was silver with a green butt. I fished it below a 1/4 oz egg sinker and off of a 2-3' leader. Cranked the spinning reel real slow. Fish stopped the lure as it didn't feel like a real hard hit.

1/4 oz. jig-head with cerise (or bubble-gum, depending upon the river) curl-tail grub attached. Jig it in huge 2.5' rises/falls of the rod tip, constantly. Reel maybe 1 turn of the handle between those 2.5' rises/falls of the rod tip. Don't jerk the rod tip real hard when doing this or you'll foul-hook too many. Be gentle, but you want the jig to fall on dead-slack line for 2.5'. Works for me, anyway.
