OK, here is the deal. Learned the summer run fishery (2) years ago and love it. Had my sled for (4) years and the property on the river for (6). I must have been BRAIN DEAD. I just have put a lot of thanks for the friend that mentored me in the summer fish. Thanks Blain.

Now I want to learn the silver fishery. Read the article from CFM on the jigs. That sounds like a blast, and will have to try it. There are a couple of holes between BC and Mission that fit the hole structure to a tee. Slower ware with trees.

Any other methods guys? Thanks for the replies.

Spinners, work well.Blue foxes, and Mepps. Some colors work consistently. But you usually have to experiment arount to figure out which ones. Then i tend to stick with just a few colors through the season.
Flash & Glos work well.I like them in brass blades with red beads. But want to try the chartruese beads this year.
Wiggle worts (Brads) work good. I like to cast and retrieve them.Purple,Flo red or orange, and a couple others.Call Bobs in Longview, they can give you the info on wigglers that seem to be working best at the time.
I like to fish these in the same type of water mentioned in CFM post about jigging.
I've had a lot of hits on the spinners as they drop.I like to let them drop.reel some slackRaise the rod tip and let them drop again.Till I get right to the bank.I also like fishing them in Deep swirly water where the action is erratic.
I have fished the same jigs with CFM and The Guy in Toledo that makes them (Burlyn Hurley) Hurleys Jigs. He is a good friend and they work great. You will be impressed with how well they work.
I have also fished 1/8 oz Hurlys steelhead jigs, under a bobber with a small peice of shrimp on the tip of the hook with fantastic results.
Just some basics to get you started.Hope this helps.
Oh,and you can always fish them with eggs. They really are good biters.Sometimes you have to be persistent. They tend to go from not interested to a feeding frenzy and back. You never know what time of day the bite will turn on.I like to fish first thing in the morning, but if I cant,I have no problem with going in the middle of the day. They dont seem to be like steelhead can be at times in that way.

Good to see you joined the board Mr. Nanna!

Make sure you bring some of those humpy eggs this weekend. It should be a true smorguss board. Late summer fish, Cuthroat, Kings and Silvers. Don't forget a couple of deer too!!!
