Yep, that about sticks a fork in it frown Thought they would at least have the decency to stay upstream. Now instead of 2000 sport boats there's 2 gillnetters getting the same amount of fish, for what, a couple bucks per fish? I spent more than that in boat launch fees for the limit of fish I should have taken mad

Given the attitude of commissioner Ozmet and others at WDFW, some legislation is necessary. How about one of you political gurus, like say CFM or Grandpa2, come up with some language to add to the fisheries code that requires the resource to be allocated first to the user group that produces the most economic benefit from it? Get some state senator or congressman who wants to get a lot of votes to sponsor a bill to modify the fisheries code. It is about time that WDFW started doing something simple like managing fish resources for maximum return to the economy of the state, and if they need legislation to enable them to do that, then lets get it for them. computer

So does that mean you didn't get any fish down there today. Or when ever you went. Curious cause I'm going to the bridge tomorrow.

Didn't I already do that on a thread a couple of month ago? I made specify suggestions in changing the language of the law to address these issues and concerns.

....and no one did jack $hit about my suggestion?

What the hell can a person do when no one gets off their butts? What was that saying about you can lead a horse to the water, but you can't make him drink it?

Glowball, I didn't even have a bite. First time I have been skunked down there all year. Not hard to figure out why with gillnets strung all along the church hole. I say very few other sport fishermen but one did catch a fish. Not enough action for me though - gotten too used to filling the boat. I also went upstream - gillnets all over and I cound not even mark any fish off Cathlamet. They pretty much cleaned them out as near as I could tell frown

I know it doesn't do any good to P and M on this board CFM. Anybody have a state representative who will listen?
