Plan on it! My sources indicate a go pending one final water quality check.........and the odds on that being successful are good.

Fish by day, clam by night.

Besides the opportunity for clammers to clam up before October he should have mentioned that it also give the state the opportunity to sell thousands of licenses.

Question: Why is it that the toxins don't affect those clams in Moclips that the Natives harvest and sell?

here we go confused

Oh bite me Aunty...... You clearly are perfect. Okay, I give in. I am a worthless white male that is in need of being skinned and staked to an anthill..... You win. I admit I am wrong, stupid, and worthless...... Now will you shut up?

AuntyM isn't perfect, but then again, neither am I, nor are you for that matter.

I must say that she is a great lady to talk with, fun to fish next to, and one hell of an awesome cook.

She makes a pretty good friend, as well.

Would it be possible to interrupt the name-calling long enough for someone to answer my question about the Grayland beaches?

Tests have shown that Mocrocks clams still have dangerous levels of toxins.

Mocrocks includes Iron Springs, Roosevelt Beach, Pacific Beach and Moclips, said Bonnie Staller, a state Fish and Wildlife customer service representative.

The rest of the coast seems to be open, we just need to stay south of the Quinalt res.

The Quinalts have been digging and selling clams all along. We did some work for people that live there and witness this activity.

Yeah, as long as you agree with her and don't say anything that might offend her....... She can sure dish it out better than she can take it....

In answer to the original question...... IF they eat them the answer can be that the indians are not always affected by the same organisms others are. It is an immunity thing. Learned that from one of my ex-wives relatives. He told me they can drink river water that would make most others sick, because they have drank it for generations and have a resistance built up... Not sure if this is a medical fact, but he slurped a lot of the river water to prove his point... Never did get sick.
If they sell them and others do not get sick. Maybe the Gov't is just over cautious with its "safe" level, or we are being duped.....
