OK...I used to live on the West Side in Forks. After a several year hiatus in Astoria..I am back in WA. Auburn, to be exact. So, on to the question. Basically, I have the Green running through my back yard. And there are fish rolling around, mostly humpies. Anyways, is it OPEN to fish for them?? The regs have me totally confused. Geez, they need to hand out a ouiji board and rabbits feet when you buy a license!!! :-P

not an expert on the regs as they apply to the Green, but I don't think you're legal until October 1st.

Sept 16th Up to the 180th st. bridge in Southcenter.

Oct 1 Up to the 277nd st bridge in Auburn

October 16th Rest of the way. So your back yard in Auburn is considered Oct 16

Yeah, are regs are pretty f*cked up. A couple of months ago at our fishing club meeting, we had a new guy who just moved out here from Boston tell us that after reading the regs, he'd only feel comfortable fishing if he had his lawyer with him.

All the info you ever needed...

www.wa.gov/wdfw

And if you have any questions or are confused (dont feel bad), call your regional office, get their interperation of the regulations and make note of who you talked to and when just in case you get checked.

I dont think their pinks but the silvers are pretty thick. I work in southcenter area the back of our building is on the green above the 180th/43rd ave bridge. The past few years I have noticed that the fish are jumping all over the place then when they open the section between here and auburn the action defintly thins. I would fish as high up as legal.
