I got my rainshadowDR1147 rigger rod last week and put her to the test up at sekiu for 3 days. Let me say I am overly impressed with this rod. I had it made with tich guides with I highly recommend. Im up to three rainshadows now and can say with out a doubt these are the best rods for the money. If any of you are thinking about having one made DO NOT hesitate. You will wish you had long ago.
Peace

I had TH make a 1264 for my Mooching rod last summer, and it has the titanium guides also. After he built that one for me,I took up rodbuilding, and have built an 1143,1024,and two UL trout rods. I agree, the RS blanks make a sweet rod.

Glad to hear you liked the rod. Sounds like you had a good trip. Did you manage to win that salmon derby?

John-
I did not win the derby, we had some outboard trouble and din't get on the water to sat afternoon. I hooked lots of fish on the rod including a slab that was an easy 18-20 pound
hooknose coho that we lost right at the boat.
If anyone wants a sweet rainshadow built give JR32 a shout. His work is sweet and he is a good guy to deal with.
