Nailed my second river fish ever this morning!!! A 11-12 pound Hooknose silver. I was using a lightweight 7 foot trout rod. Needless to say it was difficult getting it out of the rapids. What a blast!!! Don't have a clue what I did right. Just felt like I hooked bottom, gave a little tug to release it and away he went dragging me all over the river. Took pictures on a throw away camera and will post later.

Went to the carbon the other night and will not return after seeing the snag fest. Made me sick to my stomach.

There's some biggies in the Puyallup right now. Took a 14 pounder last week down by the soccer fields. Lost 2 other brutes that day. Once the nets get out, look out.

Anybody know what the netting schedule is? I assumed that it was Monday thru Thursday, but saw them in Sunday mid day.

I could be wrong on the netting schedule, but I think it is Sunday at noon until Wednesday at noon.

I stopped by where they sell the fish and asked the netting schedule and they said sunday through wed. Had a mess of silvers in the back of the truck today.

I saw a 15 pounder taken out of the river at Fromcuttstostillies spot. That was one nice fish.
