Incase any of you beach junkies are interested, I talked to a couple of the guys fishing FC this week and it has taken off big time. One said he has had an average of 20 a day! So take the usual truth to reality formula {20fish = @5 landed} and it looks like things are going to finnaly happen.

See you out there

The fishing is very good right now out there. Was there last night and had 7 takedowns and C&R'd 3 + kept 1 11 pound hen. 4 for 7 is a lot better than my normal average. There's still a lot of buzz bombers out there that clutter it up a bit. The best bite last night was right in front of the motorhomes in the park.
The bait is only 4"-5" out there right now, so don't get too big of bait. The small stuff spins a lot better anyway. Talked to a couple from the park and they said that several limits were taken on the other side of the ferry, past the old loading station. There's a couple of miles of beach to work on tht side.
On the way over I stoped off at Bush Point to see if the low lifes were still up to their usual tricks. There were only about a dozen on the beach. SAw 1 guy bury a fish in the sand back in the logs. On my way back to the van I saw the game warden collecting liscenses on his way down the beach. Barbed hooks on the BB's was the winner yesterday. He took their liscense and just told them to keep fishing, after they pinched their barbs, and that he'd be back. He asked me if I saw anyone burying fish, (the locals are retired and watching), I gave the warden the guys description and the approx location of the fish. Access is so limited at Bush that it only takes a few morons to spoil it for everyone else. The past 6 weeks have been terrible for the residents who live at Bush.
