Well in just keeps getting better and better on the snohomish. I hope you are all finding some biters. Met a friend and his family this afternoon for a couple hours and couldn't keep them off. Here is Haley with her first of the day!
And to top it off a15 lb. second fish!

After watching her sister do it Shelby was the next one to put it to Mr. Coho.

While the kids were catching all the fish Dad and I were busy being net boys. However, Dad did get to do a little catching also.

And can you believe it but they even let me put the net down long enough to get in on all the action. Here is a nice 16 lb. buck

And to end my day 15lbs. of pure chrome!!!

Hope everyone is having as much fun as we are! Good Luck!

Hey canyon man , Is that Lance in your pictures holding up one of the kids fish? or did he actually catch one ? Great pictures, Nice fish! I can see where you are fishing on the snohomish. You don't suppose you could share some info on what you are using ? I have caught them on dick nites, various spinners( mostly chrome) homemade, or floating eggs under a bobber. tell Lance if he lets me know what you guys are using I might give him a couple of really good jigs ,maybe even a red and black one without the barb wink pinched.

Nice HO's! B.D. has been hitting the Sno hard but can't seem to get the lock jaw from skunking my yacht. I've been trolling the warts with marginal success. How about some tip Canyon Man?

Thanks for the tip Canyon Man. If I see you out there I'll come say hello. You can always spot BD on the Snohomish in his 12-foot Lund yacht with big blue "easy launch" wheels on the back.

Plucked a middle age couple out of the river yesterday after there canoe tipped over with all there gear in it. A little bit of scare since the lady wasn't wearing a PFD and she started going into a little bit of a shock since the water was cold from the incoming push. Anyway everybody made it to shore safe and nothing more lost than some gear.

Nice job canyon man, but how do you get to the spot you were fishing at from the bank? I've been there in a boat, but don't know how to get there on foot. If you could e-mail me directions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Wow looks like you had them dialed in. Fished the area just above Snohomish on Sunday without success, tried Dicknites plugs and jigs. Lots of fish in the area but none willing to come home.

Sunday must have been the day for idiots to be on the river. While casting into the bank from my boat I had four different boaters run between me and the bank. Now it's not like there wasn't room to run behind me, my gosh I mean there was only several hundred of open river to run in. Not just one type of boater either, 2 sleds one car topper and one other. (Note to self, bring large flashing sign. I'm fishing here folks) mad

Lifeisgreat-
I know just what you mean. I had 2 different times when sleds went right over my line while I was fighting fish!! One was deep enough it didn't matter, but the other snapped me off. When it's crowded can't the boats just slow down a little bit???? Good luck out there!

Damn Canyon Man!!! Impressive catch. Been doing excellent down south (on the river that you caught that 50+); limits everyday with a few 12 pounders thrown in the mix.

Nice to here from you Hoh. I just got back from a "lunch break" on the snohomish and in less than a 1/2 hr. got a 14 and 11 lbrs. I just can't believe how many fish are in the river.

Good luck out there!

Canyon Man...every other post is of you and your latest catch. No tips for others however. Is the Snohomish considered a dreaded "zipperlip" stream? If not why not share some info on how to catch those Coho...Doesn't sound like there is a shortage of fish and there are already tons of people.
Not sure if I can go but the rivers I fish for fall Coho are on the OP and I always cast Mepps #5 spinners towards the bank targetting the 2-3' of shoreline where silvers traditionally travel. Sounds like the Dick Nite is the spoon of choice...I also use the #5 Vibrax in chartreuse....Also the Flash Glo spinners and a big pink Wiggle Wart. I suppose those things would work on the Snohomish but since I have never tried it I don't know.

Hey gramps....

I think he said a dnite (that's a Dick Nite) is all you need. I assume he ties that on the end of his line and casts it with a fishing rod.

Yeah it's no secret so here's some more info for ya. Just beware.......never believe anything you read in the paper or on the internet.

Canyon man,

Two questions if I may:

1 - Is that area in your pics tidally affected?

2 - Do you prefer fishing the incoming or outgoing tide if it is, or does it matter that much?

Thanks! smile

Uhhh........don't you think that Canyon Man was cool to let everyone know the Snoho is packed with silvers? Does he have to tell everyone how and where too?

Give the guy a break..........

Thanks for the report, Canyon Man. thumbs

That area is easily found if you drive around and look...you can practically fish from your car.

Lunch time, hmmmm.....Canyonman, did you get them about the same time on Sunday?
