Fished lower end of the gorge on saturday. Steelhead every where! Went five for eight, went home with two 8lb hens, turned back two bigger bucks and one small hen. All fish on a #3 blue fox. Fish were turned on to hardware in a big way. My father and another guy fished good eggs and only caught two fish between them. Fishing will be hot all month while deer season is in full swing and no body is fishing it(except me of course!).

Fishing my secret spot again Siletzangler? Need to make one more trip down there myself. Amazing that the upper river doesn't get much pressure during hunting season. Did you see any Chinook up there?

Saw only one dark springer caught by my father, only about 10lbs. Didn't see any rolling early in the morning either. Maybe with these higher tides and some rain we'll get a few coming up river.
