Well the snohomish continues to be unbelievable! After multiple hook ups we got Spencer his first Salmon ever!

And then the largest silver of the season for me to date...and a hatchery clipped fish at that!

Also, please be patient with me as I am trying to return all the emails I have received...I will get to all of them, but it will take me some time.
Hope you all are having as much fun as my friends and I are!
Good Luck,
Canyon Man beer

Right on Canyon!! Havent been on the Sno for a few weeks. From what ive seen from your pics and heard from buddies it may be time to get outa the steelie holes and back to tossing DN's... How do you think this Coho run is stacking up to the 01' run down there?? Have the badgering humpies cleared some by now???

Bank Walker- The humpies have really cleared out down by snohomish. I've only been hooking 2-3 in 2-3 hrs. of fishing. I think the run could be even better. The fish in there right now are mostly the early hatchery fish...10-12 lb. average, with many mid teens and higher as you can see! The later run, probably still 2 weeks out or so, is usually the bigger run and consists of a lot of 6-9lb. fish.
Good luck,
Canyon Man

Are Silvers as red as the two in the first picture still good to eat? I've never caught a silver that red,so I don't know.

If the red cohos are bucks sometimes they still eat OK. Canyonman, you're fishing above snohomish right? I was down low today and lot's of bright fish still moving through.

Out of the 4 we kept today, 2 had some color. The one with the most color had the best meat out of all of them. Knock on wood, but I have never had a silver (chrome or with some color), in the snohomish that didn't have perfect meat. These are some of the tastiest salmon you can eat. B-Bque or smoked they are delicious!!!

Nice fish Canyon Man.

....and for the record I agree with you on the color....it usually has nothing to do with how they taste.

Fishingjunky15-
That red one had the best meat out of all of them. The meat was just as good as the fish we were getting out of Westport and Bouy 10 in August. beer

nice catch C.M.
What kind of boat you running in the Snohomish River for those silvers? Same boat you spoke of when fishing the Columbia? I'm a saltchuck salmon guy primarlily, but looking for a boat that proves safe in AREAS 4-13, big rivers (Columbia& Cowlitz) and of course old favorite N. Sound rivers like the snoho system trib's. Feedback is appreciated. Loan is approved c/o credit union.
Hopefully 1 particular boat model is doable.
The hunt is on...
