I have 96' 19.5 Bayliner Capri and I'm looking to add side curtains and a back curtain for those cold and rainy days. Olympic Boat Center gave me one recomendation, but like to know of others that board members have delt with. Appreciate the help.

In Lynnwood there is a place called Pacific Rim Marine. As a favor the guy sewed up one of my seats for me. In the few minutes it took him to do that we talked and he had told me that he actually specializes in canvas tops. He said that he does all the warranty work/repairs for Olympic Boat Center in Everett. I saw his work and it seemed very good (of course I'm no expert).
When I asked how much he would charge me for a canvas top and two side windows to cover the seating area in my 19' sabrecraft he said $400 to $500 which I thought was pretty reasonable.
Anyway he is just off 196th about 1 mile east of the freeway.

good call Salmon Stalker. I forgot about that guy, isnt he right in that office park behind Lynnwood marine..... the place with all the ski boats out front?
Anyway, I live about 1/4 mile away from there by swamp creek (which is closed waters but already has some silver's in it!) Ernie, if you get up here call me and I'll pour you a cold one.

I'm with you Erndog, I needs me a new top, gonna' get a stand-up one made some day. You posted awhile back about the HeaterCraft heating system. Did you ever do it? I must tell you I finished putting mine in last week and man, that is one fantastic system! I could never keep my windshield clear in the fall/winter, now it is not only clear we are nice and toasty! I have side windows for my top, I am thinking about hanging a shower curtain across the back to hold the heat in until next year when maybe I can afford the new top. I got a few of 'em hangin' of my hips so can't do the top this year, but let me know what you do and how it works out.

Steve, did you put that system in yourself? Whatcha run ya? Still needing do to that myself. Maybe this winter I may just have to use an ol'plug in one w/fan, intill next year. Debating if I'm going to have a stand up made or just add the side and back curtains. I'll let ya know.

fp, I watched your progress all the way, it came out fantastic! Ernie, this guy does do great work. The HeaterCraft I put in myself, it took about three partial days, two if I'd worked on it solid. I have a small 12v unit that I was using to defog the windshield and it worked ok, but was unrealiable. I finally bit the bullet on about a $4oo bill and ordered the heating system from Go2Marine.com. Cheapest I could find for a 40,000btu unit. The hardest part was getting the unit under the bow seat, had to remove a lot of floatation foam to make room for it. Then to run the heater hoses all the way back to the motor was a bit of a chore in itself. Next time I see you out there you'll have to check it out. Now I'm looking forward to chasing those pesky blackmouth all winter long without having to fight off the flu so much!!
