Thouse Sockeye are some beautiful fish. Thanks for posting!
BTW: Dose that creek flow into Lake Washington or the Slough?

Wondered which creek it was. I fished Swamp Creek years ago, but never North Creek.
Always wanted to duck hunt the field that North Creek ran through. Used to hold about 5K mallards most winters. I'd spot them as I'd drive to school.

I used to lead trips for nature watchers to see fish in the wild. I have always thought that it was important for the public to understand fish survival issues in the field.
Possibly the best place to see sockeye spawing is on the Cedar River. It gets a big run from now until about mid-November.
My favorite place is up near Landsberg dam. Take the Cedar River trail from the parking lot down stream to the RR bridge. From that vantage, and upstream along the sand bluff is a great spot to see spawning sockeye in the Seattle area.
Also King County sets up fish watching stations along Bear Creek for the public.
My wife always asks to be taken out on those trips, because although she doesn't take to fishing, she loves to go salmon watching.
