What size and design of hook is recommended for blackmouth jigging with Dart or Buzzbombs?

I have been replacing the hooks on my Pt. Wilson Darts with Gami open Siwash hooks. I also use these same hooks below a #5 Buzzbomb on a split ring.

When I went to the Owners website to look at the cutting edge hooks I read on previous threads, I wasn't sure what style to buy?

Can someone please point me in the right direction, and if there is another hook manufacturer you suggest, please include the name of the specific hook you are recommending.

Any help is appreciated!

I use a Gami siwash 1/0 or 2/0 also.
My brother uses owner 2/0 hooks in blue or red.

Thanks Surecatch and Paul.

Paul, do you know what Owner hook your brother is using. When I looked at the line of owner hooks, none appeared to be traditional styles. I probably missed them, but the were all offset, or for holding bait or ....

If your brother knows what style of owner hook he uses, I'd be interesting in knowing.
I would like to give them a try.

Also, do either of you use 2 siwash hooks off a split ring? I set them up so they hang facing one another, and it seems to work well.

Thanks again

He uses SSW Owner. They come in cutting point and super needle point.
Some of the hooks I buy come ringed. they have a welded ring through the eye of the hook. they are supposed to work better but i don't like them very much. They cause a lot of twisting in the line for me. I mainly use hooks with rings in them on lures. I replace all of the treble hooks on my wigglewarts and Tadpollys with the ringed hooks because they are easier to attach.

Also if you are looking at the Owner website, they don't have all of the hooks avaliable on there. You have to get a catalog or go to a tackle store that sells them to find "traditional hooks". The website is made for showing the new advanced hooks they offer.

Thanks Paul, that helps a lot.

I usually frequent John Sporting goods or occasionally Jerry's Surpluss in Everett. I will look there, but if there is someplace else you find the owner hooks, please let me know.

I suppose Ted's would be good, but I don't make it south of everett too often.

I'll also take a look at cabelas.

Thanks again.

He buys them mostly at Outdoor emporium I believe. Walmart used to sell them, but I don't think they do anymore. John's sells them. I am not sure about Jerry's.
