Did some semi-combat fishing for silvers yesterday. People were polite and helpful, no one was snagging and I saw just about zero garbage on the river. Good bunch of folks and a great day of fishing.

Where would this "Mythical, Fish and Enviromental Friendly, Combat Zone" be?

What river were you on. I have just started getting out here in the seattle area after working out here for several years. It makes me sick to see all the garbabe that wanna-be fisherman leave all over the place - I have never seen it so bad, it is pathetic. You guys are lucky that there is any areas left to fish due to the trash. I'm not just talking fishing line, but beer cans, bottles, soda cans, lunch remains...etc etc etc.
