Mike C. and I took home three silvers, he lost a nice buck, I released three humpies, and we lost several other silvers.

My fishing partner, "Sno-King", and I fished the Snoho yesterday and it was a little colored, but not too high. We managed 4 coho and I also caught a chum(released), but part of the morning was ruined by two idiots in kayaks. We were anchored near shore casting straight out over a slot that was holding fish. Two kayakers came down the river which was at least 200 yards wide at that spot and they passed in spitting distance of our boat. We had to stop casting while they passed. Sno-King said, "can't you see we're fishing here?" One of them replied, "can't you see we're paddling here?" I said, "what's wrong with the rest of the river?" He said, "we're not bothering your fish" and then he started smacking the surface of the water with his paddle and laughing. I have always been curteous to kayakers and canoers when I'm in my boat.....slowing down, less wake, and steering way clear of them. But its jerks like this that make "getting along" difficult.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

You missed your chance, Snake. When a kayaker slaps his paddle on the water, it is a signal for nearby fishers to slap them in the head with whatever is handy in the boat. A fishbeater of oar usually works nicely. Don't miss out next time......... kayaker dude ----------->

keep a bag of rubber shock bushings within reach, you can throw them a long ways and they hurt like hell when hit in the back of the head!! Next time, just pee in thier kayak!

I'm totally opposed to snagging fish, but my conscience would allow me to snag an annoying kayaker.......
