My wifes mother and father were getting a divorce and my wife didn't want to be around so her mother could suck the life blood out of her. Nothing like running a 2 fly rig and getting a 16" and 12" at the same time in the pocket water of the NF Payette.

Heh heh...... Have never done that Jerry but sounds like fun..... Have had 2 smallies on a 2 Crappie jig setup though and that was a trip (one was about 3lbs, the other 1lb)......

I think you belong in the PS area more anyway.... Seems a natural place for a fishin' fool like yourself!

i'll be whitetail hunting the clearwater region this coming weekend with my father-in-law(was a fly-in, hoseback elk guide years ago), had a blast on some super turkey and deer hunts over there, was there last weekend and i nearly froze my arse off since the heaviest thing i brought to wear was a fleece vest...wife's grandpa said he went 1 for 3 on the clearwater one day late last week...never fished there myself but that is going to have to change here shortly

Came back early from Steelheadin the Salmon near North Fork. COLD and Snow! Ill go back when I get my winter legs. Did manage to land my first fly caught steely. Just like the books say--drift---drift-drift then the loop in your fingers snaps tight and fish on! Next I guess Ill have to drop a $1000 on a spey fly setup. Watching the line control those guys have is amazing!
